4 Types of Kitchen and Bathroom Faucets

faucet typesAre you planning to remodel your kitchen or bathroom this summer? If so, remember that a lot goes into the process. So it’s okay to take all the time you need in order to plan properly. Whether you’re planning a bathroom or kitchen update, one of the most important features to consider is the sink faucet. You may not have even realized this was such a vital part of your design plan. Nevertheless, sink faucets can often make or break the aesthetic you’re trying to create. You can choose from a number of different types of faucets. Here are four great kitchen and bathroom faucets you may want to discuss with your contractor.

Center-Set Faucets

This type of faucet is popular among homeowners for both kitchen and bathroom upgrades. Center-set faucets are what many people think of as a standard feature. They require three holes, one each for the spout and the temperature adjusting knobs.

Single-Hole Faucets

Single-hole faucets are particularly good for smaller bathrooms or kitchens, although they can work nicely in any space. This type of faucet requires only one hole to be drilled through the countertop. They are extremely functional and modern, making them the perfect addition to any home remodeling project.

Widespread Mount Faucets

These faucets are quite similar to the aforementioned center-set faucets. They share the standard design, requiring three holes, one each for the spout and two handles. The major difference, however, is that the mounts are more widespread. Whereas center-set faucet pieces are generally placed four inches apart, widespread faucet pieces are typically at least eight inches apart.
